Monday
Holly has accepted that Heath is also seeing Tess, but when she catches them post-coital, she can't help but feel jealous. When Heath checks in with her later, she admits that sharing him is harder than she thought but she promises to do better.
Holly confesses her Heath hook-up to Sadie, who thinks Holly is making a bad decision, but Holly's confident she has got it all under control.
Tess thinks she has the upper-hand with Paul. Little does she know, Paul, Krista and Leo are all working to together to work out what Tess is up to.
Meanwhile, Nicolette and Kiri's relationship hits a bump when Kiri tells her that she's heading to Sasha's old church for its last mass before it closes. This drags up Nicolette's concerns about Kiri and her faith – and about how she can't compete with it.
When Kiri calls her on this, Nicolette admits her fears and the women finally have an honest talk. Kiri is quick to reassure Nicolette. Nicolette promises to find a way to accept Kiri and her faith. The couple are stronger than ever.
Elsewhere, Terese tries to bring the nursery out of rack and ruin. While Toadie makes out he's on board, there's definitely an element of discomfort for him. He is further challenged when he overhears Nell and Terese discuss Nell's crush on JJ.
The father and daughter finally have a proper talk about it and Toadie is surprisingly understanding, although he encourages Nell not to rush into anything.
Later, he returns to the nursery only to find estate agent Rhett there. After talking to him Terese has come up with an ingenious solution – Eirini Rising will take on the nursery as a community garden. But feeling the control pulled away from him, Toadie has a visceral reaction – declaring it won't happen.
Tuesday
Desperate for somewhere to be alone together, Kiri blurts out to a loved-up Nicolette that they should get their own place together. Nicolette instantly agrees. These two know what they want, and they're not going to waste a second.
Nicolette, however, suggests bringing Aaron with them to wherever they move, so Isla doesn't have to be separated from one of her parents. Aaron's on board with the idea, and Kiri's thrilled to witness an emotional moment between Aaron and Nicolette.
To Kiri, it's the confirmation that Nicolette has matured, and is no longer the insecure, manipulative person she used to be.
This belief is shattered, however, when Kiri finds damning evidence on Nicolette's phone that shows she's been keeping a detailed list of Aaron's transgressions.
Meanwhile, following his emotional outburst at the nursery, Toadie is filled with regret and guilt. Struggling to understand where all of this has come from, Toadie asks Terese for patience.
Terese has a heart-to-heart with Susan who confides that Melanie, too, faced conflict with Toadie when they were first dating. Obviously the nursery – having been Sonya's domain – is a real trigger for Toadie. As Terese seeks Melanie's perspective, Melanie offers that Sonya and Dee are part of the package deal for Toadie.
However, the mention of Dee piques Terese's curiosity and she's rocked to realise that Melanie knew about Toadie's crisis around all of his ex-wives before she did.
Elsewhere, Mackenzie finds some of Haz's work notes and learns he's begun considering his future. Although the prospect of moving on from the cafe and returning to IT interests Haz, he's concerned his reputation and past mistakes will stand in his way.
Mackenzie suggests Haz seek advice from someone who knows what it's like to reinvent themself: Paul. Paul can't give Haz any easy answers, but Haz is eager to continue thinking on it.
Also today, Paul apologises to a wary Melanie for having used her as a pawn, and Melanie wonders where the catch is. Paul insists he's genuine about wanting to make amends, and offers Melanie a place to stay at the Lassiters Eclipse Apartments.
Leo later comments on Paul's unusual behaviour, when he goes out of his way to ignore Terese. Leo wonders what type of game Paul's playing at, and Paul insists there is no game. He's simply respecting Terese's wishes. Given that she's moved on with someone else, Paul has decided it's time for him to do the same thing.
Wednesday
Busted, Nicolette tries to explain her dossier of evidence against Aaron, but Kiri is appalled. Unsure whether to tell Aaron what she has learnt, Kiri seeks counsel from Remi and Cara, who urge Kiri to consider what's in Isla's best interest. Kiri sees Nicolette handle an Isla meltdown with great parenting and softens.
Later, Nicolette explains to Kiri that the evidence she was keeping against Aaron was a misguided contingency plan she regrets. Determined to change, Nicolette deletes the list.
Nicolette is ashamed to admit she also consulted lawyers about the video parenting agreement she made with Aaron and David to see if it would stand in court and Remi ensures she calls it off. With Remi's advice in mind, Kiri agrees to work things out but this is Nicolette's last chance.
Meanwhile, JJ is unenthused about helping Dex with his biology assignment but quickly changes tune for Nell. Fed up with Dex over-analysing his intentions, JJ challenges Dex to ask Nell out as he won't be able to let things go until he has an answer from her.
When Dex timidly does so, Nell's left uncomfortable and desperate to avoid hurting her friend. Although she lets him down gently, Dex is heartbroken to learn Nell doesn't reciprocate his feelings.
Clocking the awkwardness between them, JJ connects the dots and is saddened to see his brother hurt.
Elsewhere, Byron is home and shows Sadie the work he did for the vineyard while in Queensland. He studied how to use an AI program to generate high quality marketing content.
Mindful of his silent investor status, Byron gives Nicolette the material to present as hers. Unaware of this, Sadie puts in a good word to Leo about Byron's handiwork and Leo eventually gets the sense Nicolette isn't fully across the material she's pitched as hers. But by the time Sadie and Byron realise she's put her foot in it, Leo has requested a meeting with Byron, who has a bad feeling about where he stands.
Also today, when one of Wendy's regular staff at the Waterhole calls in sick, Quinn is in the right place at the right time and takes on a casual shift to help out.
Over the day, Wendy and Quinn provide each other some much needed emotional support. A visit from Quinn's overseas family has him feeling as though he doesn't fully belong in either culture as a first generation Australian and he opens up about how challenging it is to reconcile his identity.
Wendy's nervous about her mentorship starting this week and fears that doing badly in her mentorship will fuel the chatter that she was given the opportunity to service a diversity agenda.
In simpatico, the two offer each other well tailored support and their day of connecting culminates in a powerful charged moment. Rattled by the intimacy, Wendy breaks the moment but is left shaken by the emotional connection she felt with her friend.
Thursday
Still dwelling on her deep conversation with Quinn, as well as their emotionally charged moment, Wendy attempts to have the same conversation with Andrew.
While Andrew is fully willing to listen to what Wendy has to stay about race and diversity and cultural belonging, he can't fully understand, not in the same way Quinn can.
Meanwhile, Nell and JJ finally admit that they really like each other. Nell confides in Terese, claiming she's excited about the romantic development, but not quite ready for anything physical to happen.
Nell also asks Terese to not tell Toadie. Considering Toadie's fragile state, Terese agrees to Nell's request, although she does share her concerns with Remi.
Feeling as though she's handled the situation as well as she can, Terese feels betrayed when she walks in on Nell and JJ kissing.
Elsewhere, Nicolette and Kiri are doing their best to get back on track, both professionally and personally, but a comment from Cara reminds Nicolette how questionable her past is.
When a letter arrives from her lawyer, Nicolette is confused but her curiosity gets the better of her. Although Nicolette told them to drop their work on the custody agreement, their report was ready so they sent it anyway. Kiri catches Nicolette reading it.
Kiri realises that Nicolette has acted out of her "nervous panic" within 24 hours of promising she'd never behave like that again.
Also today, Toadie continues to have sessions with counsellor, Rhonda Del Rubio. Terese suggests a joint session, but Toadie wants time to work through his emotions on his own first.
Toadie's confronted when Rhonda brings up his infidelity with Melanie, suggesting that he and Terese never worked through it, and cheating seems to be a pattern of behaviour for him.
Following advice from Remi, Terese decides to go and see Rhonda herself, but when she turns up, she's shocked to discover that Toadie is already there, having gone back for another session.
Jumping to the conclusion that Terese deliberately went against his wishes for a joint session, Toadie lets fly – he's not ready.
