Monday
Leo hopes to break the news to Kiri, but Byron and Nicolette arrive at the vineyard before he gets a chance to. It's an extremely awkward and tense meeting between the two exes, especially when both parties realise the other has also made an offer to buy into the vineyard.
Though Byron and Nicolette pitch their hearts out, determined to be chosen over Kiri, Leo admits that neither of them can offer as much as Vic originally was planning. In a perfect world, he'd partner with all three.
Trying to successfully navigate the potential issue of Kiri and Nicolette working together, Leo offers a trial period so the foursome can see how they gel.
Everyone agrees, but when Kiri later runs into Nicolette, there's still a lot of tension between the two women and it's painfully clear that this trial isn't going to be smooth sailing.
Meanwhile, Aaron and Logan's friendship continues to deepen, especially when Logan makes a positive first impression with Isla and the two quickly bond.
Continuing to take steps forward in his grief, Aaron donates David's clothes to the Foundation. When Andrew makes an innocent comment on the obvious connection between Aaron and Logan, a guilty Aaron freaks out. He shuts Andrew down and demands the clothes back.
A guilty Toadie informs Aaron that the clothes have all been bought and gently reminds Aaron that there's no correct timeline on how he should feel after a partner passes away. He points out that it's not a betrayal of David if he finds himself enjoying the company of others.
Realising he was just freaking out, Aaron accepts Toadie's counsel and affirms that he does like having Logan in his life – completely unaware that Logan is the one who has purchased all of David's clothes.
Elsewhere, the share house suffers another blow when the hot water system goes kaput and Vera refuses to pay unless the housemates can make it worth her while.
A helpless Haz quickly finds himself giving Vera a manicure in an attempt to placate her, but a firm Mackenzie puts Vera in her place and gets her to cough up for a new system.
When the hot water service is restored, Mackenzie offers Vera a compromise, allowing her restricted access to the pool. She hopes that if they indulge Vera a little, she'll respect their boundaries from now on.
Tuesday
When Melanie shows up unannounced at Logan's caravan, Logan quickly changes out of David's clothes and berates her for overstepping.
Buoyed by Toadie's advice, Aaron invites Logan to hang out, much to Logan's thrill. Dropping around to the Kennedys', Logan and Aaron take in the history book, which is open to a page of David and Aaron. Unable to help himself, Logan suggests they borrow the book and Aaron agrees to a trip down memory lane.
When Karl suggests that Logan's community in Parramatta didn't have a history book, Aaron corrects that Logan is from Liverpool. As Logan asserts that Karl must have misheard, Karl shakes off the odd moment.
However, when Mel shares her concerns about how quickly Aaron and Logan are connecting, Karl brings up the inconsistency. When Remi also expresses her own doubts about Logan, Melanie's internal alarm bells are well and truly ringing.
While Aaron and Logan are deepening their friendship, Melanie lets herself into Logan's caravan and discovers the bag of David's clothes, just as Logan unexpectedly returns.
Meanwhile, Kiri gets into boss mode ahead of the vineyard's product launch, aided by Haz, Mackenzie and Nicolette. Nicolette joylessly follows her ex's directions, which include all of the lowliest and dirtiest jobs.
Amidst the work, Nicolette and Kiri miss each other's surreptitious glances, both of them secretly wanting something more from each other. After a full day of simmering tension, the two women finally have it out. Kiri admits she's still angry about how their relationship ended with Nicolette trying to seduce Sasha.
Nicolette confesses that somewhere along the line, both her and Sasha developed feelings for one another. Nicolette wants to explain herself further, but Kiri leaves before she has the chance.
Elsewhere, juggling her thriving university social life with work, Wendy burns the candle at both ends. Although Wendy tells Andrew that her uni friends know she's in a different stage to life than them, she takes on a secret life on campus, dressing in more youthful clothes and make-up.
Later, when Wendy unexpectedly spots Cara at uni, Cara pleads with Wendy to keep it quiet, later admitting she's afraid she'll fail the course and can't bear for her family to know. Wendy relates to Cara's insecurities and suggests that being open with her family may provide support that gets her across the line.
Although Cara appreciates the advice, she lightly calls Wendy out on her hypocrisy, given she hasn't been open with her own family about changing herself for her younger friends. Each called out, the women agree to keep each other's secrets.
Wednesday
Caught by Melanie with David's clothes, Logan defends himself by insisting that he bought them in case Aaron regretted clearing them out. Playing shocked and insulted by Melanie's 'paranoia', Logan puts her firmly in her place.
Logan quits Divas and hastily connects with Aaron, explaining that he retrieved David's clothes should Aaron regret tossing them away. Aaron is touched by Logan's care and confronts Melanie, telling her to lay off Logan.
Remi still feels that something odd is going on with him and approaches Melanie about further investigations. But Melanie is stung by Aaron's dressing down and is backing off.
Remi takes the matter into her own hands and confirms that Logan is a doctor who practiced at a hospital in the Sydney suburb of Liverpool. She conveys this to Melanie and they call someone who knows him back home. Off the back of this call, Melanie rushes to warn Aaron: Logan could be dangerous and, incredibly, he's connected to David.
Meanwhile, when Nell continues to misconstrue Dex's romantic hints as friendship, JJ ends up being his brother's advisor once again in the lead up to their 'date'. However, the movie night is barely off the ground when the sunroom, which Dex has set up as their venue, suddenly collapses.
As dust billows, Dex rues the demise of his romantic plans. Surveying the disaster, Toadie feels guilty for selling the Varga-Murphys a substandard structure. When Cara decides to fix the mess herself, Toadie volunteers to help.
Elsewhere, time is running out for JJ to decide which school he wants to attend to finish his education. If it can't be Erinsborough High, he's adamant he'd rather just stay working at Eirini Rising. Remi approaches Jane to see if there's anything that can be done to undo his expulsion. Jane fears there's not.
However, knowing JJ has turned his life around and is doing great work at Eirini Rising, the passionate educator inside Jane can't help wanting to get him back into his chosen school. She approaches Terese and Susan and the residents of Eirini Rising to write character references for JJ to give to the Education Department. There's no guarantee it will work, but it's worth a shot.
Also today, Wendy continues to struggle to balance 'workaday Wendy' at home with 'youthful uni Wendy'. Cara is stunned to overhear Wendy's uni friend Parker asking Wendy to accompany them to an upcoming 'traffic light party', believing she's a fellow single.
Cara is not impressed, but Wendy justifies that she never got the chance to have a 'young' uni experience; she likes fitting in with the other students and doing something just for her.
Cara agrees to continue keeping Wendy's secret, as Wendy is keeping hers, but she's concerned about Wendy hiding the fact she has a family.
Thursday
Aaron struggles to process the revelation that Logan is a doctor who studied with David. Leo fills in the rest of the story: Logan became so obsessed with his brother to the point where David had to get the university involved.
Leo is outraged to learn that Logan has been weaselling his way into Aaron's life, but Aaron wants to hear Logan's side first. Cornered, Logan explains that back then, all he could see was how special David was, but David didn't welcome his affections and Logan understands now how inappropriate he was.
Aaron is baffled by what Logan was hoping to get out of coming to Erinsborough, and Logan becomes emotional as he explains he came with a pure heart – a wish to see the people who loved David as much as he did. As Logan breaks down, Aaron can't help but be moved.
Meanwhile, with dramas at Eirini Rising settling down, Terese tells Susan that things are back on track with Toadie. Susan laments that her and Karl barely have any time for themselves, and despite dropping hints for some alone time, Karl remains oblivious.
Elsewhere, Toadie bonds with Cara as he helps rebuild the collapsed sunroom roof of No. 30. He opens up about his family, friends and lost loves while working in the house that was once his home. When Cara is called into work, leaving Toadie by himself, Toadie is suddenly overwhelmed by a sense of déjà vu… but he shrugs it off and focuses on the task at hand. What is going on with Toadie?
Also today, Byron belatedly finds a letter from Vic to Jane in Trevor's kennel, but Jane puts it aside, convinced it's full of excuses. Eventually she gives in to reading the letter and is distressed. She fumes to Susan and Terese about Vic having the gall to offer unsolicited advice on her relationship with Mike, and Susan is surprised to hear that Vic also kissed Jane.
Defensive, Jane claims that Vic was playing mind-games and she works to sell how committed she and Mike are. Speaking from a place of friendship, Susan confesses she has shared Vic's concerns about the state of Jane and Mike's long separation. Terese gently concurs, and Jane is confronted.
Feeling wistful, Jane revisits the Tram, remembering the time when she and Mike reconnected and were full of hope for the future. She's left with a heavy heart as she takes in the now-empty seat opposite her. Later, when Byron finds her in an emotional state, Jane voices the painful reality – she has to break up with Mike.
