Spoilers for 27th - 31st May 2024

Baby Maia's mother has come forward at last. Harper organises a meeting with her and Rose tomorrow. However, Maia's mother is completely unaware of the fact that the baby has gone missing.

Guilty and terrified, Dana rushes to the police station and files a report, but the damage is already done. Infuriated and beyond stressed out, Rose blames Dana for letting Tane take the baby away.

With no time to lose, Rose rushes to Tane's house, at best hoping to catch him there or at least find clues as to where he could have gone. Mackenzie and Mali are both at home and are stunned by what they're hearing.

Mac tells Rose that she's free to search Tane's room, but shockingly, Mali stops her. Standing in the doorway to protect his friend, he tells her that Tane has done nothing wrong, and that she needs a search warrant if she's going in there. Rose is speechless – she can't believe her own boyfriend is standing in the way of justice.

Back at the police station, Maia's mother finally shows up. Rose and Harper listen to her tell her story. Her name is Sonia, and she heard what Rose said at the media event about needing to know where you belonged. She also tells them that Maia's name is actually Poppy, and she's excited to see her daughter again

Rose thinks quickly and comes up with a plan to stall for time – they need to go through routine ID checks, DNA tests and so on before any reunion can happen. The plan works a treat when Sonia readily agrees she'll do anything to see her baby again. But how long can they keep this up for?

Meanwhile, when Levi and Mackenzie reconnect, Mac apologises for introducing herself to Imogen. She explains that she just wanted to get to know the woman Levi went home to, and her insecurities got the best of her. Levi reassures her there's no competition

Irene asks Dana what's going on with Harper, having seen her look incredibly upset. Immediately, Dana breaks down, admitting that it's her fault and she regrets trusting Tane.

Irene consoles her, pointing out that Tane is a grown man and everything he did were things that he was going to do anyway. Dana is slightly comforted, but all she wants at this point is any sign that the baby is safe.

Eventually, she gets a blunt text from Tane – Maia is safe but he wants Dana to stop calling him. Her head spinning, Dana picks up the phone and calls Rose for help.

Meanwhile, Stevie hears from the ex-boyfriend of Crystal, her deceased co-star from Death Throes. He has reached out to tell her that they've finished the inquest into Crystal's death. Cash pulls a few strings with his cop connections to try to get to the answer faster. He returns that night with bad news – they've ruled Crystal's death as a misadventure.

Stevie is distraught. She's adamant that the same guy that killed Crystal is after her now. With that ruling, and the fact that the cops aren't taking her seriously at all, she declares that it's over. She fires Cash on a whim, giving into her feelings of despair and walks out the door with her belongings. Has Cash failed?

Elsewhere, Irene and Marilyn are glamming Leah up, getting her ready for the big day – but it's clear that something's on her mind. Despite all her promises to let things go and allow Justin to take control of the big plans, she can't help but worry.

Against her better judgement, Leah starts rifling through cabinets and shelves at home. She finds a folder with all of Justin's plans. Circled in big red pen on a piece of paper is "THE VJ ISSUE".

Just when it couldn't get worse, Justin walks in and catches her red-handed. Leah pushes him for answers over whether VJ can't make it to the wedding. Justin is annoyed with her for not trusting him, even when there's a hitch in plans. Despite that, he manages to calm her and sends her off. Will things really go according to plan on the big day? And what is the VJ issue?
