Levi is in hot pursuit of Eden, who is angry and can't believe what she has just seen. Levi protests that his feelings for Mackenzie are real, but even as he declares his love for her, Eden can only see their dad – in her eyes, Levi's exactly like him.
Levi goes to Mackenzie, but she wakes in the night to an empty bed. When she does find him, he's despondent as he scrolls through his message history with Imogen, which he describes as a "wall of lies".
Eden vents to Felicity and tells her that she can't bring herself to break Imogen's heart, while Mackenzie stresses to Levi that they need to find a way to contain this. After Felicity kicks Levi out of Salt, he tries again with Eden, apologising profusely. He admits that reconnecting has meant a lot to him and he'd like to find a way forward.
Felicity delivers some harsh home truths to Mackenzie for deceiving them all and she questions how Mac can live with herself.
Meanwhile, Tane is still being held at the police station and Harper is standing by him. She pleads his case to a fed-up Rose, who points out that because of Tane, Harper and Mali could be facing charges too. Harper is shocked as she hadn't realised that.
Next, Rose fronts up at Mali's with an axe to grind with her boyfriend, telling him that what he did was wrong and he should have told her the minute he found out where Tane was hiding with the baby. Mali disagrees and takes offence that she's here to lecture him while their friend sits alone in a cell. She's incredulous and makes it clear that she'll be powerless if Sarge decides to press charges.
As Tane, Mali and Harper return from court, Tane seems set in denial. They all remind him that he's lucky to have been granted bail. As far as he sees it, though, it's all pointless. When Harper tells Tane they're not giving up on him, he's bleak and insists that he might as well just accept it.

Theo is searching for Valerie, but Kirby has little sympathy left after they were all arrested because of her. When Theo does finally catch up with Valerie at home, he fills her in on recent developments with the police.
When Kirby finds them together, she's adamant they should tell Justin the truth, but both of them protest. When Valerie gives them space, Kirby questions Theo on why his feelings for Valerie haven't changed after she threw him under the bus. Kirby then corners Valerie and challenges her on whether she really cares about Theo at all.
Meanwhile, Eden sits face-to-face with Levi as she unpicks the lies he has told to cover his affair. Levi protests that he hated lying to her, but Eden makes it clear that she's not prepared to forgive. While Levi begs Eden not to tell Imogen what she has learned, Cash arrives home and Levi's irked to realise he too knows the truth. When Remi and Kirby come inside, Eden wastes no time outing the affair to them too.
At Salt, the dynamic continues to be fraught between Mackenzie and Felicity, who isn't going to let the affair go lightly. When Levi gets wind of this, he storms into Eden's and rails at his sister, ordering her to tell her friends to back off. He promises to sort things out with Imogen, but until then, it's between he and his wife.

At Stevie's media event, Cash won't back down over the danger that she's in. He points out that nobody has checked his ID and there's no security, making this a high threat event and putting her in danger. Stevie clearly doesn't agree, and soon the director is publicly announcing the cast of All Our Tomorrows.
As Stevie settles into an audience Q&A, Cash can only look on as she pays tribute to her late co-star, Crystal. Finally understanding her position, he offers her a warm congratulations and they're both glad to finally be on the same page.
As she attends to a swarm of fans chasing autographs, though, Cash senses imminent danger. A rogue fan pushes through the crowd towards Stevie, begging her to say her famous catchphrase and then suddenly lunges at her. Cash steps in just in time and sprints after the attacker.
Soon they're playing a game of cat and mouse in an empty car park. In a physical altercation, Cash manages to overpower him, with the stalker screaming that Stevie is last on his list. As he's dragged away in handcuffs, Stevie thanks Cash for everything. She can finally feel safe.
Meanwhile, the mood is tense between Valerie and Theo when she thanks him for taking the rap for the seized pills. She insists that she would hand herself in, but the cops would just think she was covering for him. Justin's not happy when he walks in on the pair kissing – he thought he made himself clear about wanting Valerie gone.
When Theo suggests that they need to talk, Justin agrees but immediately mentions the van being impounded by the cops. He's still grilling them when Leah walks in, wondering what's going on. Justin puts Valerie on the spot, ordering her to tell Leah how she almost ruined Theo's life by getting him into drugs. Leah's in shock and disbelief, but it's too much for Valerie and she bails.
When Kirby finds Valerie crying on the beach, she leads with compassion and offers a kind ear. Valerie admits she has a problem, but talks about how much she cares about Leah and how feeling like a part of her family has meant so much. Kirby encourages honesty, so Valerie turns up to beg forgiveness.
Unfortunately for Valerie, the response is not what she'd hoped for. Leah is firm when she tells her she has to leave, hopefully to go back to the clinic. Valerie declines, and she and Theo share a heartfelt goodbye as Leah and Justin watch on. Theo's keen to stay in touch, but Valerie knows that's not a good idea as she has already caused enough pain. Theo's heart breaks as she drives away forever.
After the confrontation, Eden surprises her friends when she tells them that he's right. She hates her brother right now, but she thinks they need to give him the space to come clean.

Rose confirms to Xander that she hasn't heard from Mali since she seized Tane's passport, which she's interpreting as a pretty good indication of where they stand. She has also spoken to Sarge, and it's her decision over whether to press charges against Mali and Harper or not. It's a huge burden for Rose, and she tells Bree that she thinks Sarge is testing her.
Under pressure from Dana later, Rose snaps. Xander then accidentally lets the truth slip out to Dana. The next thing she knows, Rose is faced with Dana on her doorstep late at night – urging her not to punish the people who were trying to help.
Meanwhile, after banishing Valerie from the Bay, Leah checks in with Theo. She explains how hard it was for her to ask Valerie to leave, but he still doesn't understand how she could do it. Leah's frank as she explains that sometimes you can only help people who want to help themselves.
At home though, Leah gently suggests the idea of Theo getting some help himself. Theo says he doesn't need it as he's done with taking drugs. Before she can push any further, Justin returns home with news – Valerie has handed herself in, so the charges against Theo and Lyrik have been dropped. Theo is desperate to go to her, but Leah is quick to remind him that it isn't his problem.
Theo approaches Remi, knowing that Justin has told him about the stolen money. But Remi's more worried about the drugs – pointing out that Theo stole and lied to his family, which doesn't sound like someone in control.
As Theo shares more about his and Valerie's drug-taking, Remi offers sage advice – he needs to do something now before he hits rock bottom. That night, he takes Theo to Bree's, where they sit down to talk. Theo asks for help, and Bree's ready to talk through his options.

Rose is feeling the pressure of her work and personal lives colliding, and she's quick to let Xander know how she felt about her late-night visit from Dana. She scolds him for discussing police business in public.
Wanting to build bridges, Xander sends Irene with a coffee as an olive branch, and she quickly sees the stress that Rose is under. Irene urges Rose to be objective, and suddenly she's struck by a plan for a way forward.
Dana confronts Mali about Rose and the charges, inadvertently spilling the beans that it's his girlfriend who'll be deciding his fate. When Dana presses Mali again later, he's clear that he won't be intervening. He points out that Rose is going to do what she thinks is right and nothing he can say will change that, especially as they haven't spoken for days.
Dana tries venting about Mali to Xander, but he lets her know he has heard about her hassling his sister, and he reckons she's been hassling Mali, too. They fight, and when Xander has to walk away from her, it seems their friendship could be in jeopardy.
Mali and Harper continue to worry that Tane doesn't seem interested in his legal fight ahead. While Harper and Dana are encouraging him to defend himself, Rose approaches and asks for a chat. He complies, and she asks him for the full story regarding Harper and Mali's involvement. He tells her the truth, explaining that they talked him down and made him do the right thing.
When Rose sees them at the surf club, she lets them know she has made her decision – she won't be pressing charges. Harper's grateful, and things seem to thaw between Rose and Mali as well.
Relieved for her sister, Dana realises she may have overstepped and heads straight to Xander's to apologise. Her apology is typically longwinded and teeming with contradictions, but ultimately earns her a kiss when Xander pulls her into a passionate embrace. Is this the start of something new for them?
