Dana is on patrol when Xander approaches, but she barely has time to be angry with him before Harper arrives with life-changing news – she's pregnant. The sisters escape to discuss the situation and while Harper keeps her cool, Dana is panicked.

Harper explains that it's complicated and Tane is the father. She doesn't know what she's going to do yet, but she's counting on her sister's support.

When Harper does get a moment with Tane later, Perri steals his focus. Before she can say anything, he's gone. When she tries to talk to him again the next morning, he's even more distracted as Perri is missing.

Perri has been dodging calls from his dad for days, and he's not happy that Tane told Rose about his situation – the last thing he wanted was the police involved. Tane is frantic over the possibility that Perri has gone back to his dad. It clicks for Harper that she won't be sharing any big news today. Will she get the chance to tell Tane about the baby?

Meanwhile, in the surf, Theo sees Xander take a knock to the head and springs into action, dragging his mate to shore. Dana forgets their fight for a minute and rushes to his side. She watches on with bated breath as Bree gives him the good news – there are no fractures and he should be fine soon.

When Xander goes to remove his neck brace though, Xander stops her and reveals that he can't feel his legs. Dana's eyes widen with fear for the man she loves. When he sees her though, he lashes out, telling her to leave and insisting that he's not her problem anymore.

This doesn't deter Dana from staying all night, and with Rose's encouragement, she goes in to see Xander again. She promises to go if he wants her to, but as she turns to leave, Xander begs her to stay.

Tuesday
Harper and Tane search the dunes for Perri in case he spent another night on the beach. Harper tries his dad, and they're relieved to hear he hasn't been home, but they're still no closer to finding him.

Finally, Mali spots him camped underneath a hull on the beach and encourages him to come home. They turn up just as Harper's about to drop her baby news, and Tane lets Perri know he's not in trouble.

Perri fills him in on the threats from his dad, and Tane makes him promise to tell him next time. He ignores a call later from Perri's dad Carl and Perri resolves to block the contact. Perri announces that Tane is stuck with him now, as there's nowhere else for him to go.

Meanwhile, Levi is excited to be recovered and returning to work, especially now his unit is open. On his first day back, he's visited by his father, Jimmy Fowler. Jimmy has been in contact with Levi's ex and wants to know why Levi didn't tell him that his marriage was over.

Over coffee, Levi sells Mackenzie to his dad – insisting that he's made the right choice. The part he struggles with is hurting someone he cared about so badly. They unpack Levi's guilt over Imogen, and Jimmy explains that the only way he got past it was to find a way to move on.

They plan to get out of the Bay for dinner to avoid a run-in with Eden, but she spots them together anyway and storms round to Levi's, where she greets him with a punch in the face.

Elsewhere, Xander is still downcast over the loss of feeling in his legs. He wonders whether this could be the beginning of a permanent condition. Dana is on shift as his nurse, and when Rose arrives, they both work to bolster him. He's resistant, but when Rose brings in pizza, he can't help but smile at their efforts to cheer him up.

When Dana brushes past his leg, he realises he felt it, and they immediately celebrate with a kiss. It only takes one awkward conversation before they're back on track – Xander and Dana are back on.

Also today, Rose observes the logo on the board Mali is working on – he's doing a job for the River Boys and she's not happy about it. Mali stands firm though – it's part of running a business. A concerned Alf reinforces the need for Mali to steer clear of them, and Mali confirms that's the plan, just as soon as he's free of this one board.

Wednesday
Mali and Kirby are on the beach when they run into Levi's dad Jimmy. Kirby lets slip that Eden also lives in Summer Bay.

As Levi ices his nose, he assures a disbelieving Eden that Jimmy was not invited to the Bay and doesn't know she's there. He's fed up with her attitude, so he announces that he's taking Mackenzie and their father for dinner at Salt whether she likes it or not. When Kirby confirms that Eden has taken the night off, it's a green light for the father and son and they head off to dinner.

Eden unpacks her father's arrival with Cash, and explains her complex history with Jimmy. Cash tries to reason with her, but she's sure her dad will never change. At Salt, Cash meets Levi and Jimmy, with all agreeing they wish the situation was different.

When Cash comes home, Eden is furious at his sympathies toward Jimmy, but she reluctantly agrees to five minutes with her father, taking her rage with her. She accosts their table at Salt and demands that he leave and not come back. Jimmy tells her he loves her and agrees he will leave in the morning.

Eden later confides in Cash about how she's scared that cheating is in her blood, and she'll end up like Jimmy and Levi. Cash is reassuring and they head to bed together.

Meanwhile, still down after being conned by Bronte, Irene isn't even buoyed by news of Xander and Dana's reunion. Leah switches the rosters around and gives Irene some time off to rest, but she remains hard on herself as she didn't protect the people she loved from a scammer.

Desperate to help her friend, Leah has a bright idea – she'll arrange an interview with the Coastal News to draw attention to the issue and deter other people from being scammed. Irene begrudgingly agrees, but by morning she has changed her mind – Leah can talk to the journo herself, but she'll be doing it on her own.

Elsewhere, Mali hasn't managed to offload the surfboard he's worried about, and Kirby wonders if Felicity knows her boyfriend's in a gang. She agrees to keep it between them, but makes Mali promise he will be careful when it comes to the River Boys.

Cash gets called into work and arrives to be surrounded by the countless members of the gang, waiting for him at the Mangrove River police station. It's an obvious attempt at intimidation – is Cash a match for the River Boys?

Thursday
Felicity and Rory emerge from a swim, clearly smitten. John is horrified to clock Rory's 'Blood & Sand' tattoo, realising he must be a River Boy. When he finds Rory behind the counter at the board shop, Rory has an innocent explanation – he's just picking up the board that Mali made him. When John tries to warn her off, Felicity defends Rory and his tattoos – much like Cash, he is not going to dictate her love life.

Cash stands strong against the wall of River Boys 'welcoming' him to Mangrove River, and he confronts Dingo immediately. Dingo reasons that Cash has been watching them, so now they're watching him. Before things can escalate, Dingo gets a call from Rory, who orders them to stand down – he's coming back, with Felicity.

Later, Cash is parked outside a buzzing street party and observes Rory arriving with his sister. She's right at home with the River Boys, and she and Rory delight in tormenting Cash, who demands his sister get in the car so they can leave. When Felicity refuses, he heads back to the station, where he pushes Joanna to run the license plates he's collected. She's reticent, but Cash is insistent.

Felicity and Rory have gone back to hers and retreated to the bedroom when Cash returns home and swiftly kicks Rory out. Felicity's indignant, so he tells her his reasoning – the River Boys are involved in a murder and Rory's the suspected leader. He suggests this is the reason he's sleeping with the new cop's sister.

A furious Felicity bites back that they were together before he took the job and not everything is about Cash. Have Rory and the River Boys come between Cash and Felicity?

Meanwhile, Irene is short with Leah and Marilyn, frustrated by their persistence that she gives an interview to the Coastal News about the Bronte scam. When John witnesses her snap at her friends, she explains she has been humiliated enough already, but he counters that she's a compassionate person who should be celebrated. He points out that Irene thrives on helping people, so she knows what the right decision is.

Irene asks for time alone to think and think she does, over a stiff drink. When she returns to the Diner, a tipsy Irene is all smiles, and her sudden change of heart doesn't sit well with Leah. Is a drunk Irene about to tank the interview?

Friday
Theo and Bree emerge from the surf to meet Remi, who brushes Theo off after a late night in the studio – he explains that he's in demand. Bree quickly lies that she is heading to work, despite having just said she has the day off, so something's not quite adding up.

They're enjoying time alone in bed when first Cash interrupts them, then Theo. Remi admits to his mate that he has someone in his bedroom, and Theo reveals he knows the truth. He shouts out to Bree, saying that she might as well come out now.

They ask Theo to keep their secret, as they're not ready for everyone to know they're back together. He agrees, but warns them that others will work it out if he did. How long can they keep their renewed romance under wraps?

Meanwhile, Cash and Felicity continue to clash over Rory, and she issues an ultimatum – if her boyfriend can't stay there then neither will she. She runs straight to Rory and floats moving in with him, but he says the timing's not quite right, and John warns that he has his eye on the River Boy leader.

When Cash approaches Felicity at Salt, she refuses to talk to him unless he apologises to Rory, and he reluctantly complies. When they do talk, the siblings reach a compromise – Cash can abide the relationship, but she needs to stay at the house. He even concedes that he can't police who she has round.

Later though, Cash confides his true fears to John. When he's called into work, the vehicle connected to Franklin's murder has been traced to a David Lewis, otherwise known as Dingo.

Elsewhere, Irene is drunk when the Coastal News journalist sits down with her and Leah. Leah is horrified as Irene describes herself as a born loser and a perfect victim, vowing to kick the next person asking for help to the curb. She excuses herself from the interview, with John in hot pursuit. He wonders what on earth she was thinking. Irene doubles down on her belief that what Bronte did was her fault, and John's reassurances can't cut through. She warns him to leave her alone and get a life.

Leah tries to talk the journo out of going to print, but she isn't going to let go of her first front page. Is Irene headed for even greater humiliation?

At home, as Irene swigs desperately from a whisky bottle, that seems to be the least of her troubles. When John comes to the door, it startles her, and he comes face to face with Irene crying over the broken bottle. Will he be able to help his friend in her hour of need?
